This is the Holiday. Everyone says it's all about Family and Love and His birth. Everyone says it's all about Cheer and Joy and Warm fuzzies inside. But ‘everyone’ isn't everyone, Is it. ‘Everyone’ isn't inclusive, it's Exclusive; it excludes the Outcasts the Poor the Less fortunate. This club serves smiles With a side of positivity, But those who really need it Are turned away before they even reach the door.

Soft, damp blades of grass press into the back of my shirt, brush against my arms and legs. A last cool summer breeze exhales over the hill, sends the wispy clouds high overhead racing and swirling. The lone tree shades our eyes from the afternoon sun. I feel her beside me, content to just lay here and watch the sky. This has been our spot for as long as I can remember. We've spent countless hours here, laughing together, talking together, reading together, doing homework together. And of course telling our troubles, sadnesses, comforting each other with reassuring words and the simple act of being there for one another. But not any more. The
